I must really love my sister. I mean, why else would I offer to drive with my mother and two toddlers on a crazy road trip from Virginia Beach, Virginia to Ulysses, Kansas just to visit her “nothing-to-do town?!” Just for reference, Siri tells me this trip is 23 hours of drive time and 1,584 miles. We were blessed with Cambri and Porter behaving on the ride, but ran into rain, mountains, three state capitals, seven total states, and endless plains. The car ride itself was the most strenuous I’ve ever managed, but the vacation was totally worth it. If you follow along, you already know I create these videos to preserve our family memories. While this one most likely will not be used for your own traveling inspiration, it definitely gives an idea of the charming, friendly towns scattered across the plains states. Enjoy the video!
